On my 81 300SD, So far I have gotten 27.5 highway MPG at 70-75 with 4 adults in the car. Mixed city/highway around 25.5.
I haven't had it long, so I can't tell what it'll do in the long run.

Talking back to global warming

I agree that the global warming issue is rhetoric devised by special interest groups. If you think about it, it's probobly more environmentally sound to recycle a used vehicle (assuming it's in good working order) than to consume the resources necessary to produce a new car.
