PCV tube question....

Okay, I have a problem. My 84'300D has a tube (pcv I think) that leads from just behind the oil fill cap on the valve cover to an oil trap built into the air cleaner. The tube is "J" shaped. The air filter is over the turbo like other I have seen. I have heard that there is a new superceded oval oil tube that replaces the one I have and does a better job than the three-piece unit I have. Problem is this, the local dealers computer doesn't show my style of air cleaner in their system when my vin is entered? Shows an air cleaner with no oil trap? The same problem with the CD manual I have.... I know this part exists, so what is it, and why is my car not shown on parts breakdowns? Confusing for sure, Thanks, RT

you want part no. 617 018 01 82 - i replaced my old 3-piece with this, and it works just fine.
