i agree shawnster, ekaterina had a very big tragedy and still continued. that says a whole lot.
doesn't she also have a child?

anyhow she was/is very cute and surely would have no problem attracting guys, if she wanted.

im just glad to hear they will be on their way. I dont think people had so much of a problem with the delay, it was just the lack of response or updates....Oh well. The stickers look cool!

84300DT 12-11-2002 04:14 PM

by the way

anybody think about where they are going to place the stickers on / in the car?. are they outside or inside type stickers?

DieselHead 12-11-2002 06:18 PM

Because Bill thinks it might be a scam......

DieselHead 12-11-2002 06:19 PM

and more proof to ease Bill's mind......

Oh, and they have sticky backs for outside application. The printer assures me they are weather proof

The only explanation

It seemed to me that the only way Alex could have sent these AND no one got any, was for him to have afficed less postage than was needed. Being as they recently raised the rates and there are a lot of non-denominated stamps (G, H) that no one knows the value of except the USPS, this seemed to be the logical explanation.

I eagerly await my stickers.

Good luck on your finals.

DieselHead 12-11-2002 06:36 PM

Thanks Richard, and here you go.......
If anyone wants to see their's, let me know and I'll post it. You have until 8 AM tomorrow though, that's when they're going to the Post Office.

Piotr 12-12-2002 12:24 PM

didn't order any stickers, but cannot pass on a good post

Dieselhead - our stock options got fried when the previous idiot was in office ( my IRA dropped 50% April 2000). This idot in office is just paying for the last idiot's friends crimes... (wait, something is wrong with the grammar--oh heck, i AM a Resident Alien..)

84300DT 12-12-2002 12:43 PM

piotr, since you are a RA, then you can't vote so nobody can blame you:)

rebootit 12-12-2002 12:49 PM

I will take the idiot in office over the moron that ran against him in 2000 any day of the week. If the moron was in office we would be paying off the ruling party in Afghanistan to not attack us and or kissing a$$ because heaven forbid we may offend someone.
Also here is some good info to stop sending money to the middle east where people want to kill us...

Major companies that import Middle Eastern oil (forthe period 9/1/00-8/31/01).

Shell................ 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco....... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil......... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon............. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................ 62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION!
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo 0 barrels
Sunoco 0 barrels
Conoco 0 barrels
Sinclair 0 barrels
BP/Phillips 0 barrels
Hess 0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. are required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis.

Keep this list in your car; share it with friends.
Stop paying for terrorism

DieselHead 12-12-2002 01:03 PM

The only reasons to support the current President is if you make over $304,000 a year (that puts you in the top 1%, the only group who really benefits from his tax cuts) or if you believe that war is the solution to all problems. Bush's policies both domestic and foreign are shamefully short sighted. We spend three times more than the country with the second largest defense budget (Russia) and more than the rest of the top 25 countries combined, yet we spend the least, BY FAR, in foreign aid to underdeveloped nations. We need to be making friends, not enemies. If we provide jobs to people overseas, or if we contribute to curing diseases like AIDS (which is running rampant throughout India, China and Africa) people won't hate us. International diplomacy and partnership building is the only path towards long term stability. Piotr's Mr. Bush seeks to erect walls and divide the global community: fine for anyone who seeks another cold war community standard. Speaking to his tax cut, it offers neither short term stimulus OR long term stimulus. Why give money back only to the rich? Don't forget, rich people don't spend. They put their money away in offshore accounts with banks who lend and fund terrorism. Why do they do this? To avoid paying taxes. Why did Bush authorize faulty accounting standards when he was the head of Spectrum 7 Energy and Harken Energy? To avoid paying taxes. How unpatriotic! The most patriotic thing you can do is lawfully pay your taxes and fund the infrastructure that keeps you safe and affords you the liberties you enjoy.

Alex

I'll address Bush v. Gore later....... in a more broad and ideological sense than has been addressed in a previous post by someone else
