belt question

I was replacing my headlights today and I noticed a few piesces of torn belt around the back the headlight section. Which belt is the one that is on the first pulley of the alternator and the first pulley of the fan belt. Sorry never had to tackle this before. Thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone.

Um, sounds like one of the two alternator belts failed? I take it to mean you still have one belt in place and are wondering about the empty pulleys you now see? Do yourself a favor and change or have the the belts changed. If one went the others are likely close behind. Do it before it strands you or you overheat the motor and kill it. RT
