Being new to the benz world, I decided to open up the leakign servo box. I figued if its already broke, then what harm is there?

I found that the gasket material had warped a bit. I used form-a-gasket on both sides of the gasket and bolted it all up. No leak so far, but then again no idea if the servo functions (yet).

If you decide to take this on, I would suggest that you have a digital camera nearby and take lots of pictures for reference. It took me a couple of hours to make logic out of the parts.

The reason I don't know if it works or not is that the air on the car doesn't work and when I pushed the defrost button in, it sent a loose part into the blower. That by itself tells me something must be working. So Sunday is now dedicated to finding what fell into the blower.

Don

The next step is "rebuilt" vacuum lines. The original (in many colors)in the area of the battery are brittle and crumbly, they will be replaced with rubber ones.
The "new" servo also comes with a monovalve, which I may not need?
One PROBLEM . . . 123 chassis' use a 000 835 06 84 Servo marked 104 . . .

If your car used a MONO VALVE . . . yer in BIG TROUBLE ! ! !

Source for the metal bodies?

I have a spare servo now that I found a replacement nd the one I pulled from my car wa cracked all teh way down one side.

Does anyone know of a source for the "metal" bodies for these servos? I'm thinking of tinkering a bit here but there is no point unless I have some parts to put it back together....
Thanks

Servo, seat belts

Finally, today I received the way overdue package from the bugeyeV8(Brian Marshall)..Our United States Postal Service took but three days, California to Pennslyvania..
He sent me some useless seat belts rather than the servo that I won on eBay a month ago .
I think I do recall someone on this forum stating that his belts were worn out and that he was going to buy some new ones.
Thus, my dreams of having an operative ACC system are dashed. and someone may have an unwanted servo out there...
