Here's a pic of my wagon just after mounting my new (to me) Ronal R-9 wheels and new tires. I'm really happy with the results and I think the tire fit came out great. The wheels are 7 and 8 inches wide, with 215/55/16 and 235/55/16 tires front and rear.
The wheels were badly corroded when I got them and needed a lot of elbow grease. They're not perfect now, but at least presentable. Now I need to figure out how to lower the front a tad to get just the right look. I may go with shorter spring spacers to do that.

Here are the 2 mercedes I've owned getting some maintanence done. The 126 is my daily driver. The 116 got parted (the floor was completely rusted through and it had turned into a Fred Flintstone car) and the engine (which was a turbo 300D transplant) is now in the 126.

Just purchased a week ago,1991 300d 140k leather/cruise and all the good bits.
I paid £620 for it and cannot fault it apart from a bulb in the rev counter that sometimes does not come on. My other half has a 1990 as per mine although hers has 180k and is a bit more tired body wise with rough front wings (fenders) but two new ones came with the car. This is my first Benz which replaces my 94 Bmw tds.
