bought euro190D

Well, I did it--bought the Euro 190D. (At least, a deposit is down--planning to pick it up Xmas day). Not a perfect car, but very nice for the price. No cruise, no A/C, manual windows, manual sunroof, heater is similar to the 240D's, 2 rust spots on the body, suspension good, engine good though in need of some heavy driving. I think the rotors may be warped, as I got a noticeable shudder when hitting the brakes at 85-90 mph. I was very pleased with the acceleration and speed--this is NOT a dog of a car, with the 2.5 engine and the 5-speed.

Cloth interior is a little rough--will probably put some fake sheepskins on the front seats. Did anyone find the Costco cheap imitations on the web?

Anyone have a 201 manual or CD for sale?

Also, the owner's manual is in German. Anyone have one in English? I'm wondering if MB even has them in English for Euro cars.

Engine space is surprisingly crowded with the 5 cylinder. The serp belt looks a little worn--do I have to take out the radiator to replace it?

One surprising thing--the car has a MB trailer hitch built in, complete with stock electrical plug for trailer lights.

I may be bugging you all for .pdf files until I get a manual.

Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

Good job Ron!

Keep W. Michigan growing in diesel population.
