Now Dad Wants One!---lol
Well as some of you know my father shipped my 1984 300D over here to Hawaii last week, and him and my mother just came to see their new grandchild. They left today. My father put almost 1000 miles on the 300D in the short time that he had it, and said he is really going to miss it. This is coming from a guy who, in the last 30 years, has never owned anything but the base model toyota pick up. So guess what....he wants one! LOL---He's not sure about getting a diesel, road he has to get on to leave his house is not condusive to slow acceleration, but he loved the car. I have him thinking about an early 300E. He says he's never had air conditioning, and can continue to live without it. I told him he should be able to get a nice one with a messed up AC for pretty cheap, so I'm gonna be on the lookout for one. He hasn't ruled out a diesel, but I think for what he wants to spend and what he wants a 300E would be best for him. He wants to spend around 5k give or take....

It shouldn't be that difficult at all to find an early '86-'88-ish 300E in Southern California, especially if the a/c doesn't work.

And another one bites the dust!
Funny how Ford and GM have never figured out the fanatic Benz fans attachement to their cars -- all you have to do is get someone to drive one in good condition for a week or so, and they refuse to willing drive anything else again. Even converted my sister-in-law to diesel with a W126. Peter
