That car is absolutely beautiful!

As the joke goes...if my wife said it was either her or the car......I'd sure miss my wife.(BTW, my wife is German also. Come to think of it, her initials are MB also. Weird!)

I had a '85 300D but not a wagon. It was the same color as yours. It was starting to rust seeing how it spent it's entire life (other than conception) in the snow of Michigan. I hated to get rid of that thing. It had 310,000 miles on it and still ran strong. My mechanic once said the sad thing about the whole thing was that the body would rust around the engine. I truely believe thats what would have happened if I held onto it.
