Please excuse the ignorance of a new Merc owner.
1. 1981 300SD
2. What is the switch to the left of the sunroof switch for?
3. How does the headlight switch work? I know you turn it clockwise for park & headlights,counter for left or right park, pull it one notch for fog lights. But what is the second pull position for?
4. My dash lights don't work. Fuse is good. Does it have a dash light dimmer?

2.) rear dome light
3.) second detent...rear fog light...not on US model.
4.) dash dimmer..notorious problem..same stalk as odometer reset..rotate back and forth, yours may make contact (or may not). easy to replace (or bypass).
