Proud to report
I am very pleased to report that my baby turned over 300,000 miles today and has no evident problems except for a fluctuating climate control which I am in pursuit of fixing. Where do I need to go to see about badge qualifications for my car 116 300sd 80'?

Do a search on "badge" sans quotes and look at "Question regarding 100K tags". You'll find the info you are looking for.

I think the next badge you qualify for is the 500,000 km badge, whick is approximately 312,000 miles. I found all this out recently because I just turned over to 250,000 miles and I called Mercedes for an application. I think the 800 number is posted on the mbusa web site. The high mileage award application requires a dealer rep.s signature. I just used the name of a guy I know at the dealership near my house and made up a signature. Crime of the century! I don't have dealerships work on my Mercedes...I would like to be able to afford to eat once in awhile!

My 84 300SD has 304,000 miles. Just bought a new car so I should sell this. But I always wanted to get that 500,000 km badge.
BWatson, should I drive another 8k miles before selling, or can you sign my application form |

Sure I'll sign them all! I used to care about these things and then I realized that the people who review them don't really care. It's for a badge, not like it's a forged check. I did used to write "notes from my mother" to explain my absence from junior high school. A perfect plan until I threw one out in the woods in an effort to dispose of the evidence. What are the chances that my mother would have to pee while out walking the dog 3 months after I threw the note there? In a whole forest of trees, she decides to pee there! I guess the ink from Bic pens survives snow, sleet, wind, rain, and apparently doesn't tast so good to the local wildlife!!! So much for that!
