Condensation on Driveway?
The last 2 days I noticed when I let the car idle after start up, a "wet" spot appears where the exhaust gasses hit the driveway. Its garaged at about 45degrees, but outside is only 20or so today. Is this just normal, or may this be an ominous sign?

Its the water vapor in the exhaust condensing on the cold pavement. Nothing to worry about.

Wallnight,
Exhaust gasses are mostly carbon dioxide and water. The water in vapor form will condense on anything cold and that is why you see condensation on the driveway. It is normal and indicates no problems. Sometimes the water vapor in the exhaust will condense inside a cold exhaust system and that is why sometime you see water coming out of your tail pipe. This is also normal and no indication of any problems. P E H |
Right. Condensation forms within the exhaust system overnight. Starting/running the engine blows it out.
