? W124 Engine/Air cleaner Heat-shield partition pn# ?

Can some please post the part number for the engine/air cleaner heat-shield partiton for a W124 diesel?

Also, if you have pictures, I'd like to see the engine bay difference between the early W124 diesels and the later (1995) diesel. Please post them or PM me.

I'm debating on getting the W124 1995 diesel front fender with the air-intake louvers for better breathing of my C36 engine.

I'll have to relocate the windshield-washer resevoir, and need to see both how the airbox is setup, as well as the resevoir (although I may not have enough room with the bigger intake manifold of the C36).

Even if I don't change the fender, the heatshield will protect the existing airbox.

Thanks in advance,
:-) neil

Do you mean the solid metal partition, or the wrapping used as head shielding?

The solid-metal heat-shield partition with a rubber seal at top.

I thought it might be this part as well, but when I did a cross-reference, it showed three USA models that use it:

1) 300D (good);
2) 300TD(good);
3) 300TE (not good)

Did you get the part number from an actual car, OR is the MB EPC wrong?

The part is from my EPC. Not sure why it would be a different part on the 300TE though.

What I meant was that this PN# should NOT be in a 300TE (gasoline wagon). It should only show up for the early W124 diesels.

The 95 E300D did not have a partition because it went to a plastic airbox.
