I need a grille thingamajig
 

The outer chrome of my grille is perfect. I need the plastic "insert" with the nice little aluminum strips. Where can a guy find those for a 240D?

I bought one from a 300SL restoration buff in Dallas at least 8 years ago and it turned out to be an aftermarket. It fit poorly in the upper hood mounts but it's held up and none of the aluminum trim has come off. I've never had any structural problems with the unit. I got my money's worth.
I wish I could say the same for things I bought from "performance products" over the years. I have a feeling you guy's would kick me off this website if I wrote what I think of them.

I got both the chrome and plastic on ebay a while back for $10. Looks great. There are usually a few on there.
