Talking Valentine's Day - For 'Her'

Guess what? Another valentine day without a valentine. No big deal. I've got one so faithful so I gave 'her' some 8 quarts of Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40

No roses, no chocolates, she don't like those things hehehe

I did it at the dealer. I was surprised that they have this oil.

Anyway it's using Delvac One now and is running fine. We'll see how it starts tomorrow

Ultimately, the w123 will always be there for you and always be faithful - can't quite say that about women unfortunately.

But, hey, think as I say, not as I do. I'm going out tonight with a German girl, in my German car. I like them both a lot, so wish me luck!

Good luck Mr. Gorsky

Greg,
I'll wish you luck if no one else will! The reference to Gorsky is an old unfounded tale about Niel Armstrong as he climbed back into the LEM. Look it up, it is funny!

My gifts for my car were purchased yesterday, and haven't been used yet. One's a sponge, and the other is some interior vinyl/plastic cleaner. This, plus a chamois and some shampoo, wax, and chrome polish, will be applied to the car when the weather gets better...and hopefully I'll have pictures soon thereafter.

How did it go Greg? I'm sure it went well!
kinda late to wish you good luck now hehehe..

good idea 84300DT, but the cd wasn't at its cleanest and among all those waxed up BMW's and MB's that people-with-dates seemed to have prepared, the old diesel would most probably go unnoticed hehehe

I like it that way though, it doesn't get much (if any) unwanted attention.

on the subject of Delvac 1, it's still running good and no oil leaks or anything.

Becase the valve cover gasket was recently replaced (valve adjustment), it's now spotless up there.

It went better than expected! I've definitely won her over, and since the diesel is referred to as"the old car," I don't think it was the w123 that got her attention. Oh well, the fact that she doesn't appreciate the diesel is the only flaw I've found so far!
