I don't have the article in front of me, but I'm pretty sure they said in the 2004 model year. Yes, the fuel is what's holding us up. That should get fixed in the next couple of years.

I guess that means that I can buy one of those beaut's in 2012 when they are 8 years old and more affordable.

I think I read in either AutoWeek or Automobile magazine that the V-10 TDI VW Toureg is coming next year too. Hopefully our fuel will be up to snuff by then.

How many people on this forum actually drive a W-211 anyways? I'm thinking not very many.....but yes I agree it looks like spam.

Actually in my town W211's are becoming as common as the W210's. The W210's resale is droping fast.

The new diesel is not available in California, Maine, Mass, New York or Vermont. This is from the 2005 MB factory brochure on the 320 CDI. I will email a copy of the full brochure to anyone. It is too large to post here. It is 1.2 megs.
