126 dash removal
After crashing a dozen 123 ACC threads, I got to thinking about which car is easier to work on. For what jobs does a 126 dash have to come off? Seems like you can do anything with the ACC without touching the dash.

Okay, outside of replacing the dashboard on a 126, why would the dashboard have to come off?

many of the vacuum actuators are impossible to get to without removing the dash. Also, there is a foam pad that will desintigrate over time and cause the windsheild to fog with the a/c on. Thats about all i can think of,

The foam pad. Good one.
You can get to all the AC actuators without removing the dash. The defrost one is a little tricky but certainly not difficult enough to make it worth taking off the dash. I take that back. I have no idea how to remove the center vent actuator. I can't imagine pulling the dash will help because it's not the dash that's in the way. Thanks, Sixto 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |

really? that's interesting, i was under the impression the dash had to come out for many of the actuators to be removed. Thats certainly good news. We all learn something new everyday
