How much would I pay to get a brand new (or almost brand new) '85 300D? Well, I'm not sure what your trying to get at, but if I could afford it, I would imagine they would go for mid to upper 20's? My car as mentioned earlier is as clean as any, so it wasn't a car issue, it was a milage issue in which I was trying to be frugal and get a car that would allow me twice the milage. But luckily, I came to my senses and kept the car. I don't regret it for a second. Also, I've cut down my speed to 65mph instead of 75mph, and I've realized in increase of around 2mpg! And, I bought new tires, the car is much quieter. I'm a happy camper.

Yep, know the feeling. Owed my 126 SD for over 10 years and drove nearly 200k miles; it was hard to finally sell it. The only reason I was able to do it-- I bought another diesel first.
