Back from the Windy City

Hey all,

Well, we just rolled in from Chicago. The 420SEL ran flawlessly and drank LOTS of premium unleaded there and back! The service at the Swissotel was excellent and we actually had one day of sun and 50 degrees to do the Magnificent Mile. Bought lots of goodies so now its back to work to pay for all of them

Didn't spot any diesels but lots of newer models and we did see one W116!

Oh, and we did get to hit my favorite Chicagoland restaurants....Gene and Gerogettis, Italian Village and Lou Mitchell's for breakfast.

Hope all of you Chicagoans don't take what you have in that city for granted! Every time I go there I am reminded of how crummy Cincinnati is!

Glad you had a good trip.

I agree about Cincy,,,,I lived there for 3 years.

Any town that brags about Skyline Chili has issues.

Welcome? home

I just moved to the western michigan area from Chicago.

Without taking anything away from the greater grand rapids area, Chicago is a world class city.

We still own a home in the Chicago area and we still have most all of our families in Chicago.

Lou Mitchell's for breakfast...one of my favorites too. Let us know when you feel like eating again..next week!

You lucked out on the 50 degree day! It's about 20ish now and snowing like crazy.

Where did you park the car, Aaron? Did you have to use a valet service?

Well, since we drove the 420, I just let them keep it in the Swissotel's garage. No problems whatsoever. It was a wonderful time and we'll be heading back up that way when the weather breaks and will be driving something of a more distinguishing thoroughbred...probably the 6.9
