Odd noise at left front wheel.
Just noticed a really loud high pitched schreeching sound at front left wheel. Only makes noise when wheel is turne or suspension moves up and down. Sounds sort of like a bushing. Kind of a stretching tensioned sound. Sounds much like dragging one's finger across a dry balloon. Have looked inside wheel well and noticed nothing . A lot of salt on the roads. Does the dryed salt residue make rubber bushings cry like this? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks, Roscoe

Roscoe,
Sounds to me like your ball joints are bad if the sound is heard while turning the wheel left or right. If it is happening more when the suspension is moving up or down, then it is likely to be your a-arm bushings. The A-arm bushings tend to last longer than the balljoints. There may not be any visable wear on the outside. The damage is done over time internally.
