I have a problem with my 1983 300 D, all the fuses in the fuse box are OK, but my brake lights, the fuel gauge, blinkers, pre-glow indicator lamp don't work. The battery lamp stays ON, and it does start, please help, I have checked all the wiring, fuses and cleaned battery posts & cables.. The headlights do work. What else can I check?? thanks!!

Sounds like you need a new ignition switch. That's what my 81 300SD does if it doesn't stop when I turn the key off.

well after checking all the wiring again, I removed the fuse and it fell apart in my hand, it was broke at the top and I could not see it, and it looked good in the fuse box, so Thank God, it was nothing serious...but I will change out all the fuses this weekend. I bet some have been in there since it was new..
