coupla W115 things...
Ok, so as getting the 'Green Machine' tightened up and fit for some serious driving, I'm wondeirng about a couple of things recently...
One: did W115's come with hood silencer pads? The paint on the underside of the hood seem to be in too good of shape to have ever had one. Was a pad available? two: Aiming headlights, how does one do it since aiming apparati don't appear accessable from the engine compartment? TIA Regards, - Ryan

Mine did come with a hood pad. It's all but gone now and I need to redo it. Unless your interested in keeping the underside of your hood in mint condition, slap one on there. I don't know if the hood pad is good at protecting the paint on the top side of the hood from the heat or if it isn't a problem for it.
Perhaps the 4-cylinder model skimped on that luxury.

I don;t think mine ever had a hood pad either...
For the lights it is a little inconvenient but you renmove the one screw on the bottom of the headlight/marker piece on teh front of the car. Then adjust like older chevy lights with a phillips screwdriver on the two adjustment screws holding the headlamp in place. Kind of an odd one since you can't adjust while on the road. You need to use a wall to sight them in and then try it and then go back and adjust again then try it...
