(83 240D) How do you know whether your Brake Caliper is ATE or Bendix?

I need to rebuild my Front Brake Calipers. I pulled a pair for $10 in advance from a U-Pull-It Junkyard. They have a "60" on them which I believe stands for ATE calipers, after checking FastLane and its picture. Is this correct?

My understanding,

Ate's are Tevas. They have the push-in brake pad retaining pins. Bendix have the pins with seperate retaining pins. Maybe I can state it another way. THe ATE's have the little circular compression-retainging spring intergral with the retaining pin.

Ate's are preferable, but both are interchangeable. Naturally, mixing is not a good practice.

FWIW, my 300D's got Bendix calipers, and they have the Bendix logo cast on the side.

on my 83 300d ATE in kind of a logo/script style of font was cast on the face of the caliper. It was not easy to see till I cleaned the dust off with brake parts cleaner. Was easy to see when wet with cleaner, not so easy when dry.

Blow them out with compressed air, right?
 

You get the pistons out with Compressed Air right?

I have a set of each, Bendix in front and Ate in the rear. The bendix logo is very obvious but the Ate logo is pretty small and could be easily missed if the caliper is dirty. Yes, compressed air is a good way to get the pistons out, don't overdo it with the pressure though. Be sure everything is really clean on reassembly and lubricate with brake fluid before pressing in the rebuilt pistons.
