92 300D recirc switch question

The recirc switch on my 92 automatically goes back to fresh air after a set period of time. Is there any way to stop it from doing this? I'd like it to stay on recirc as long as I want, instead of having to mash the button every time it kicks back to fresh.
Thanks!!!

On a 126 it'll stay on recirc for 30 mins with AC on, 5 mins with AC off. I imagine it's the same on a 124.

I've been thinking of installing a couple of vacuum switches in the lines to the recirc actuators so I can set them to recirc and hold the vacuum after the ACC controller times out.
