Thanks, Dabenz....What does number 2 mean?... that the idle should be higher than a gas engine ?

#2 is just a reminder. Prolonged low speed idling of an engine encourages coking or carbon buildup in an engine, and especially so for a diesel. Old school rules still work: if idling for more than a minute then switch to high idle. Also means don't lug the engine, and for the same reason: carbon. A working diesel's a happy diesel.
