oil at egr

Why did I have oil leaking from the slot in the underside of the top of the egr? I've not had the vac. line connected in a long time. (Significant amounts of oil)

It's either left over oil from blowby or oil that gets trapped there from the cyclone. In either case I guess it is blowby oil.

I have teh same problem with my 300. It is pretty bad when doing hill climbs like the mountain passses up here.
Actually I have a little tht leaks by and drips out fo the coupling between the exhaust system adn the lower egr connection.

I don't think this is abnormal but I could be wrong...

Well, at least I"m not alone! I but an old tray cutout over the opening where the egr attaches to the intake, and it hasnt oiled up today. We'll see. I 'hope it was just coming from the intake manifold.
