High mileage award is finally here!

Did you ever see 'A Christmas Story', the movie about the boy who wants a Red Ryder BB gun for christmas? Remember the part where the father wins a 'major award' and he goes on and on, "It's so beautiful! Would you look at that! I've never seen anything like it!" I believe that must be what I look like right now. I couldn't wait to get from the mailbox to the garage to tack the badge to the grill. It's beautiful!!!

Looks Great---How to get it?

A while back I saw a thread about how to get one of these awards. I need one for my 83 300TD-T with 207,xxx miles on it.

Appreciate your help.

Call 1-800-FOR-MERC and they'll send you out an application. Take a trip to the local dealer to have it signed and send it back. Takes about a month. The certificate is nice too!

Cool

Whoa, it even comes with a certificate? How cool is that. Mine is almost 300k. I sent MBUSA an email, hope that works.

I say you call them. I called them and told them that Im interested in the mileage awards and i was forwarded to another department where they just took my address and name. They took forever to send the form and I still haven't got the badge yet and I sent it out early in Feb.

I just emailed them a few minutes ago, so I am also hoping that it works.

I don't really like calling large corperations, because I have always been put on hold for like 15-20 minutes, and always switched to another department, and put on hold for another 15-20 minutes. Oakley is very bad, I was on hold for like 30 minutes, while getting the informantion for sending my broken glasses back to get fixed...

I called them earlier, the entire process took about five minutes.
