Unhappy New Member 300 CD transmision

Hi there my 2nd post! I have a 1983 300 CD black on black with euro head lamps! And was wondering what to do about my transmission started leaking trans fluid after wasn't driving car for over a year !

I was driving it to a garage 8 miles away when heard a huge whining noise as I got closer to the house, The trans was shifting okay, & when I got to the garage , there was puddle of trans fluid
all over the bottom of the car.

Ive been told that I may need to rebuild trans or may need a seal.
In any case , I've spent a lot of time & money on the rest of the car, to just sell it! thanks!

Maybe all you need is a new transmission pan seal. The drain plug could leak too.

Mine did...

You might just need a new seal... the best thing to do is clean up the bottom of the car and find where it is leaking from. Maybe take the car to a reputable transmission shop that has dealt with MB transmissions before.
