603 coolant leak!
I was trying to figure out why the AC compressor of the SDL wasn't kicking in. I traced it to a connector that came off the pressure switch on the dryer. Good thing I was looking in that area because my eyes shifted to coolant along the lip of the radiator under the upper hose.
Aaaaah, not the new head! Looks like the hose has given up the ghost. The radiator is one of the last things the PO replaced before selling. Cooling problems? It has a metal sleeve inside the neck. I don't see any cracks in the neck but I can't really see the bottom third of it well enough to be sure. I sure hope it's just the hose. Sixto 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |

Sixto,
Sounds like you have a leak in the radiator or a hose. If the head was leaking you probably wouldn't have coolant on the radiator because the air flow is toward the back of the car. Do a pressurized cooling system check or have it done. That will show you if you have a leak and where the leak is. P E H |
