83 SD fuel filter change -- am I lucky?
I replaced the fuel filters in the SD yesterday. I replaced the in-line filter, I filled the new filter with Diesel Purge and put it in place. I put the rest of the Diesel Purge in a jar, put the far end of the cigar hose in the jar and ran a line from the jar to the in-line filter. I have the old style primer pump (screwed in knurled handle). Instead of futzing with the primer pump, I started the engine. Crank... start. As easy as that.
Is it usually this easy? I was expecting to go through a bleeding routine like I had to do in the SDL. Sixto 91 300SD 87 300SDL 83 300SD |
