Need a tap and die
I need to get a 10mm by 1.00 tap and die for the upper shock stem (plunger). I've called all over town and on the internet. Any ideas?

Check with Bass Tools in Houston, Texas....
Edit: I found it in their catalog under " Metric Special Sizes... but have only located a die in that size so far... part number 1-411058 $6.70 this is a round adjustable 1 inch od die. high speed steel. same thing in 1.5 inch od $13.50 1-411058A http://basstool.com/index.asp?brw=ie |
I think I see....
a M10 by1.0 just above and to the right of your finger! Iam SURE it is a 10 by 1.0
thanks thebern |
Here is another example of the superiority of the metric system:
To find the tap drill size just subtract the thread pitch from the tap size: M10x1.5 uses an 8.5mm tap drill. P E H |
Note edit above....

Oh yes! When I can look at an American nut and pick up the right socket for it... compared to trying four sizes of metric sockets I am convinced it is the best system......:D
