A Little Road Trip - NY Auto Show

Out of the blue my friend and I decided to take my 300CD down to NYC to catch the car show. We left at around 12.30 from Boston and arrived at 6.30!! 6 hrs on the road!
Mainly because it was raining hard and we got lost :p

From NYC to Boston, it was again from 9.30 and arrived some 15 mins ago. That's another 6 hrs. There was a 1hr bumper-to-bumper traffic coming out of NYC because of a rear ended Camry that barely looked like a Camry...

But it was really good the 300CD definitely proved itself. On the bumper to bumper 5mph traffic jam , lots of cars overheated and the diesel just idled away..

A great day... too bad it spent a good 12 hrs on the road :p and quite rightly needs a nice Sunday wash

Total driven around 600 miles + getting lost, etc etc..

Most of my friends think the car won't make it to NYC :
well.. they were wrong hehe.

Holson,

Now that could have been a get together. What a great idea for a crummy, rainy, Saturday. I have been to the show a few times in years past and it was always pretty cool. Lots of great cars and other sights to see. Any cars to report on? Jim

It seems that michakaveli just got it covered

But here are some of my favorites. obviously there were no diesels
My camera sucks for quick picture taking and it was hard to take pictures because there were so many people.

I should've thought of meeting up with members of mercedesshop. Maybe next time...

..and I've also learnt a lesson. Next time I'm going to a big carshow i'm gonna try to catch it early or during the weekday...

If people's cars are overheating up there already, it's going to be a long summer for drivers around NYC !!
