Wet carpets on driver side rear
Ok guys, I know this has been covered before, but for the life of me I can't find the solution. I have a lake on the drivers side rear floor board. It has not rained and I discovered it after driving from Florida back to Houston this weekend. I don't know if the AC is draining into the back seat, or if this is even possible. Any help would be appreciated.

If it was dry before and has not rained or been in water in any way, then the only way water could get there would be the a/c condensate drain, or the heater core which would of course put a terrible anti freeze smell in the car.
Good luck, |

The drain hose for the A/C evaporator is a piece of foam hose which is probably crumbling. Take off the passenger side kick panel and reach up above the transmission tunnel and you will find the foam hose (or what's left of it). It will be right on the centerline of the car and quite a ways forward (kinda hard to reach). It starts from a nipple on the evaporator duct and just drains out on top of the transmission. Once you touch it, it will crumble, so get a new one before you start the job. There is a twisty tie thingie holding it on. If it hasn't been raining, this hose is almost certainly causing your water problem.
