this one seems familiar. at least the langhorne part. a dollar says thiis car was offered earlier this year.

Looks pretty good. Looks like the climate control needs some work (what's with that funky A/C switch?). The hood is aligned a little funny and the leather looks dried out. Not half bad, but I know this guy sells alot of junk cars.

Mine may be for sale if you're interested.

nice car, if it was close I would take a look...

gsxr 04-29-2003 02:57 PM

You can tell it's an east coast car from the rust in the engine compartment. There are nicer ones in the south & west, but most people don't want to trave to get one...

yeah maybe they had the hood 'popped' when they took the photos, it looks like the release at the grill was sticking out a bit.
thanks for the offer but i still can't get used to the size of an sdl compared to my D. they are huge.. :D

Check the feedback on the seller. Pretty bad. Don't take a chance when a dealer has a lot of bad feedback because your not seeing everything only the supremely pissed off ones. Believe me, I know.

Consider this a second vote for using and relying upon the Ebay feedback system. You can certainly get good cars on Ebay, but don't leave it to luck. I bought a one-way flight from Boston to Tulsa after buying an Ebay listed 300D. I didn't read the guy's feedback and this meant that I also had to buy a one-way flight from Tulsa to Boston...*laughing at myself now, but Man was I P'ed off then*......Ever been stuck in Tulsa?..*holds head, wincing*

What a drag, you went all that way to find out you were getting hosed? Did you ever eventually purchase a car on Ebay? I've alway sbeen tempted but never did.

edge 04-30-2003 01:05 PM

betcha that seller rolled back odometer on that SDL...

jhal 04-30-2003 02:18 PM

Yeah, that's sad. Looks like the butcher shop may have gotten ahold of this one. Not only is there the big fat hairy a/c switch, but the panel looks like it isn't even installed correctly. What is really irritating is that this will probably be some naiive (spell?) persons first Mercedes. They will probably never buy another one after getting what looks like a problem child, with a little knowledge, money, and TLC could probably be a great car:(

edge 04-30-2003 02:55 PM

I just received an email a disgruntled buyer who filed a complaint. Boardmembers, DO NOT BID. the seller is a BAD GUY.

gsxr 04-30-2003 03:16 PM

This guy has TEN PERCENT negative feedback! Damn that's bad feedback. It's a disgrace that eBay lets people like this keep their accounts. I know of sellers who have 1000 feedbacks, 100% positive, zero neutral or negative. And all his auctions are "private" so you can't warn other prospective customers of his. This dude is a major weasel. Bet he wears plain polyester suits while selling all his "one owner" cars, where the "one owner" was the auction he bought it from. Oooops, I shouldn't have said that, now he'll probably sue me for libel like the guy who caught him rolling the odo back 75kmi!

Here's a nice SD for ya's
