300SDL temp. wheel bulb replacement

I need to replace the bulb on my climate control temperature wheel. I imagine the bulb is accessible once the wood trim panel is removed. Do I need to remove all the switches prior to pulling the wood panel? I've never attempted this and I'm concerned about scratching the wood.....doesn't look like there is much room to fit a tool in around the switches. What's the best way to get them out?

You will have to remove the radio to gain access to the two retaining screws at the bottom of the wood trim panel. Remove those screws and then pull the wood panel down and out and you can then unplug the rocker switches from behind, leaving the switches themselves in the panel. There will be two plugs on the ACC pushbutton unit, unplug those and remove the complete wood panel with pushbutton unit and rocker switches attached. You can then open up the pushbutton panel and change ALL the bulbs. Good luck.
