Here is another REALLY rare option, a column shifter! I've seen this in a few euro 116's but NEVER in a 123!

Wow, a column shift. That brings back memories of driving a Dodge van with a column shift in college. I was delivering cleaning supplies and industrial foods. (I hope the customers didn't get the boxes mixed up)

I have to show this one to my son, who is now driving my manual 240D. I didn't know MB made column shifts.

I think most of them were made through the 1970s. Perhaps a few in the 1980s. I think most were on the 200s and 240s. Not sure if any of the larger Mercedes ever had column shift.
