Question w123C mirror question!!!

I've heard that the mirror for a W123"C" differs from that of a four door W123, is this true? I'm asking because I've been looking to buy a used one (in good condition) and simply don't want to get stuck with a bad mirror, since most W123's are four door models.
Thanks in Advance for your Reply

123 coupe mirrors

While the body of the mirror is pretty much the same for the coupe, the base (the part that connects to the door) is shaped differently because the coupe's windshield angle is different when compared to the sedan or wagon. A sedan or wagon mirror will not fit. But some parts are interchangeable. Maybe you could take a sedan mirror, disassemble it, and use only the parts you need.

That's true, maybe I will try using a regular W123 mirror and simply convert my stock base into one for the mirror by drilling a clean whole for the knob.

Yahhhhhhhhh!

After searching around for atleast five months I found a right side mirror for a W123 "C" at the wrecking yard. Believe it or not they wanted only $10 for it, when a new one is around $350. Slavaging cars is the best idea since the the introduction of the automoblie, which was the Benz.
