3L w123 design tolerances
Hi,
On another site someone is trying to corelate oil viscosity requirements for engines and their build tolerances. If someone could give the information foir the 3.0L 5cyl turbodiesel in the 123 cars, I would really appreciate the following: 2. Piston Ring to Liner or cylinder bore/ring clearance and length of piston. 3. Mains bearing dimensions and clearances of crankshaft bearing/journal. 4. Connecting Rod bearing dimensions and clearances. 5. Wrist pin dimensions and clearance. (This one is not too critical since these dimensions are rather sloppy anyway). Thanks JMH

Haven't you learned to avoid those oil thread discussions yet ? Use Delo 400 10-40 like the manual says... and spend your time trying to find some factory shop manuals for your car... this is the secret to a happy life.... LOL
