Plastic under-dash panels falling down...
It looks as if the extended underdash panels had a tab which would then "click" into a slot in the plastic-y composite-y soundproofing material...
Now that the soundproofing material is trashed, how to keep them from falling down? any tips or tricks? |

I have the same problem, and I am going to work on a fix for it someday. I was thinking my friend good friend Mr. Duct Tape will be able to fix it...

Hey,
I'm not sure what your problem is... Is it the colored pannel falling down? Or is it the black plastic pannel down toward the pedals? The upper colored plastic uses screws which go into nut clips in the dash(which should be replaceable-or use a size bigger screws). The grey plastic clips on the side with philips heads are pretty cheap- just make sure you have them rotated properly. Michael

They didn't seem to serve much of a useful purpose and were in the way when I had to get so something under the dash, so I took them out.

hey make the car much quiter if your insulation is intack.
Besides that they purpose is safety. They prevent limbs from being caught and subsquently broken in the dash structure. Michael
