Try this

Another 14.1MB file so the choice is yours. Sorry, I'm the same way with my Web Programming II classes trying to validify CSS stylesheets with XHTML.

Wait,...Before you try it, I'd better give it my seal of approval. I'll post back to tell you whether its good or bad.

I often see W123 diesels blowing smoke over the road.

The W124 has FAR better aerodynamics and more safety features.

I don't care for the way old diesels sound or smell.

New diesels are awesome though.

The problem with a lot of new cars today is the ridiculous wheels sizes. 19 inch this and 20 inch that and 285/30/22...why not have the same size front and rear tires for more neutral handling?

If you want bigger wheels on the new Jaguar XJR, then you will get high quality wheels from BBS sized at 20 inch. I'd still take 19 inch wheels because I want to see some of the tire but the 20 inch wheel/tire fit is still nice.

MB needs to make their cars more soild and with better fit/finish. The C Class is getting an updated exterior/interior and I heard there will be some better materials used in the interior. MB also need to offer more customizations like Deisngo (or however you spell it) for their cars. Please stop making pointless cars like the S65, CL65, SL65, SL600, CL600. SL55 and CL55 AMGs are more fun to drive, look better, and cost less than the 600s. Also, please give us a C55 AMG wagon, E55 AMG wagon, and E500 Wagon with rwd.

If you don't like big wheels, then DO NOT look at the W221 S-Class.

What was it? 22 inch wheels standard or something?

Not for the environment. I'm not a tree-hugger, but if I had a W123 diesel, I'd replace it with a gas engine or a 3.0 I-6 diesel from a W124 E300

Why not an '85 - '87 turbodiesel?

Don't say because the pollution is more, because those diesels have the oxidation catalyst to assist them.

How about a high quality MP3 of it at idle, full throttle, or revving?

Not yet...

But with the '84 300D I'll probably have something soon.

Drove it the other day. Makes me miss my old '85 W123 so much.

Its not in A1 condition(the body), but its 100% mechanically. Got it started in 8 degree the other day with dyno oil. I think that attests to something.

I hope to deliver tomorrow evening. I MAKE NO PROMISES, THOUGH. I have ADD, and its quite possible it could slip my mind. Regardless, I will let you guys know if I could make them or not.

Oh yeah, since I am a novice at this stuff. How does one make a good MP3? I could then make a lengthy recording of "playing with the 617" if you want.

****I gotta watch the storage capacity of the website. I may have to delete some older videos for the newer W123 videos. But the W123 is more widely accepted than the SDL and E420 anyways I guess.

The legacy of the W123 is about to be revived! Provided my dad doesn't sell the darn thing on me.

If you use windows and an analog camera, just record the engine idling and hook up the camera to the sound in port. There are progams like "sound recorder" that can capture it. You can use anything like WinAmp, iTunes, or MusicMatch to convert it to mp3 (128kbs or above sounds best )

I would not be against making a "playing with the 617" video if you can't make an MP3. I'm sure we all have some copies of your other videos.

I have an old recording of a '85 GM 5.7L Diesel at idle that I can listen to for hours. E-mail if you would like a copy.
