Kerry:

My problem is that I've never seen one I didn't want to buy. In fact, I just got a sedan (euro) of the same color. 1983

Oh...my...god.

Except for the exterior color, this is my dream car. Wagon, manual tranny, cloth interior, 3rd seat...I'm going to ask the seller if he'd be willing to accept a straight trade for my car.

Yeah, it looks really nice. I actually like the exterior color, not many Americans were crazy enough to order that color! Makes it very unique.

If there are any W123 gods in the Seattle area that would be willing to loan me some tools and garage time, I would fly up, R&R the master cylinder and clutch and drive this sucker home!

It's kinda hard to tell for sure from the pictures, but I think the color might be English Red. Same color as my old 240D. Sort of a pumpkin or persimmon color. I don't think I ever saw a 123 that color.

The color is...

INCA RED I believe. It's a metallic orange-y color.

This was a 70's color but my '81 was custom-ordered with it. I LOVE it but you have to not mind sticking out quite a bit.

Perhaps Inca Red was available in Europe into the 80's?

There was a 116 300SD that color on eBay a few months back. I thought it was a complete blast in a '70's era car. Still, silver is my favorite 116 color. Dove grey is my favorite 123 color.

Kerry,
I share your delemia I want to buy every good deal MB that I see. I have three plus my sons 190 E for the summer. The people that we lease our house from offered me a free 83 SD that was sitting in their garage for two years they said it ran fine when they parked it,(Yellow with tan leather) but the logistics of getting it from CA to OR became too complex, needless to say am still heartbroken.........

Nice car. I have seen two or threeW123s of that color.
All were 300CD s. About 1982+.

Hope somebody on this site gets it.

I have somewhat weird tastes, but I actually prefer cloth seats. To me, cloth is more comfortable than vinyl or leather.

I wish I could find somewhere in the U.S. that could supply the OEM velour cloth seat covers for my 123, to replace the leather...
