diesel fuel
I am a Canadian and usually get about 31 miles per imperial gallon (1.25 US gallons) I was driving through New York State and bought some #2 enhanced diesel. Suddenly I am getting 35+ miles to the gallon. Does anyone know what the enhancement is?

Would be easier if you told us the Brand name of the station you bought from.

Schooner,
You Canadian mileage is about right for MB Diesel to start with but there is no enhancement to Diesel fuel that will increase you mileage by ~40 %. Has to be an error in your calculations. What model MB? Are you measuring distance in miles or km? The difference would explain the percentage increase. Or possibly you used the conversion factor from gallons to imperial gallons or miles to km backward or a combination of both. I thought Canada wisely went from the imperial gallon to the metric ytstem long ago. Last time I was in Canada all I saw was liters. P E H |
