diesel purge? Do you have to use lubromoly

Hey folks,

I was wondering if any one knew wether or not you have to use lubro moly diesel purge to clean out the injectors and pump.

I got alot of powerservice additive. Would that work as good. I intend on running it straight through the injectors.

Thanks alot

bob c

If you do a search, a lot of people use the LubroMoly Diesel Purge, though some question its viability. I have yet to use it, though I have a kit in my tool box and plan to use it soon.

The Power Service Additive is meant to be used in the tank, not driven straight from the can. At least the Power Service I use. I find Power Service to be a good product, and its sold in many gas stations, Wal Marts, and the like. I would think the Power Service is more akin to the Redline DFC, which is only sold online, select dealers or in Pep Boys. I find they all smell the same, and work pretty well.
