Thanx DieselAddict!
I really wanted to hear that. One, cause if the smaller hose could have been a factor then I dont know how well the cyclonic filter is working. Two, it helps me to know I was not an idiot :p on the first round of filter work on this car. Just drove 30 miles aprx and the glass filter is still clean as a whistle! |
Ok, so you just drove and the glass filter is clean. But that doesn't mean anything yet. You may happen to have clean fuel in there right now.
I recall you saying that there was a question about whether the car was pumping enough fuel through to make the cyclonic filter work. So I'd be interested to hear what happens when you drain the cyclonic filter. If there's crud, then you have a good test. |

Anyway though... the glass filter is AFTER the RCI Purifier and before the stock filter so I would think that if any thing was getting by the RCI, I would see it. It only took about 15 miles to plug the first set of replacement filters I put into the car wiith new fuel and it clogged things fast enough that instantly I couldnt do highway speeds. Will see, minimum gpm for this particular filter is 0.5gpm, and the max is something like 3.5gpm. What is the fuel pump rate on a typical auto 6cyl diesel engine? |
