Bill:
Buy a new radiator, that repair is going to let go sooner or later, and if it is on the highway, you'll be getting a new $2500 head, too. You probably don't have the cooling system purged -- it has air trapped in the heater core. Turn the climate control temp dial all the way up with the defrost button pushed on a cold engine with the radiator cap off. Start engine, then squeeze the line to the coolant tank as flat as you can, then install cap on the radiator cap flange and let go of the hose. Should glug some. When it stops bubbling, remove the cap and repeat a couple time. If the coolant goes down in the tank, keep adding and applying suction until it stops going down. You should have heat. You will also hear gurglling in the heater core for a while (switch it to defrost once in a while on start up) until you get all the air out. Coolant level will drop gradually as the air works it's way up the the tank. It also helps to park on a steep incline, radiator up, when filling. Peter
