210 Driver's side mirror

I have been driving my wife's Jeep lately, having things like cooling system flushed and trans serviced, new tires and she has been driving the 210.

when she chooses her seating preference from the door panel, it also makes a slight adjustment to the outside mirrors. the last few times this has happened, the mirror pops out of the housing, and dangles by the two wires. Of course, I have been meaning to get this fixed, but for the time being, I just crammed the mirror back on and it works until the next time my wife drives the car.

This morning, i got into the car, slammed the door, the mirror fell out and the wires broke off inside of the mirror (somewhere) Fastlane carries the mirror for the right side, but not for the left

Any body ever had a problem with this mirror--know if its possible to reattach the wires? I don't see anything to solder to, and don't really know where the wires were attached. Plus, I don't want to go to the trouble of resoldering, if the dmn thing is just going to keep popping out.

I will search for a mirror somewhere else, too, but wanted to contribute to the sight by purchasing from fastlane if possible.

Fastlane and PartsShop are two different sources that both support this site. If FastLane doesn't have what you need, search PartShop. If you can't find it there, email or call Phil at PartsShop. It sounds like a call to Phil would be the best thing, because he could probably find the part that is allowing it to fall out, instead of just the glass. Wish I coud help with the problem, but mine hasn't done that.

Thanks for the info, as always Rick. I hope your mirror never falls out.

Also, my apologies to partshop, and I will contact them directly!
