87 300TD Horn Emergency!
I believe the alarm connection for the radio (after market) is causing the horn to go off repeatedly. The horn intermittently goes off and today has been nearly non-stop. I've been told there is a grounding clip or something that triggers the alarm if the radio is removed, and wonder if that was never adequately attached when the radio was installed. I pulled the radio and could not find such a connection. Please help with the following:
1) What specifically am I looking for? 2) If I can't find it is there an easy way to bypass it with another wire or bypass the system altogether? 3) Which fuse controls the alarm horn? I've pulled #2, #6 & #9 to no avail. I thank you and everyone else annoyed by the incessant honking thanks you. |

Why not unplug and disconnect the horn for now

That might be my course of action, though I'd prefer a long term solution.
