Question W126 repair CD question

Was wondering if anybody else has had problems accessing the "Circuit Diagram Index' section. It's in the "Electrical Troubleshooting Manual" section of the CD. I go to it, click on circuit diagram index, another window opens for the PDF, and then that's it. Nothing happens. I've tried several times.
I'm trying to trace down the wiring that goes to the cigar lighters in the rear doors. Niether of them work, but the fuse is ok. I took off both rear door panels, and everything's connected up in there, and I don't see any broken wires. I checked with a volt meter at both doors, and the wires are dead on both sides. Seems as though a connector has either been disconnected, or a wire cut somewhere between the doors and the fuse box.
Only reason I even care, is we bought one of those coolers to take on trips that you don't put ice in, just plug into a lighter. (The cooler works great BTW!) My front lighter works, but it's going to have the cell phone plugged in there.

Those CD's are flaky that way. I had a couple of pages in my W123 manual that would freeze things up for a while. I ended up buying the paper manuals.

I hate to oversimplify things, but I just had to wait 10 or 15 seconds before it would display the index, but it fianlly did it. I assume you have installed Acrobat Reader 4.0?

I've got Acrobat Reader ver 5.0 on my computer. And yeah, I figured it was just a big file that needed time to load, so I left it for about 10 minutes. Came back in, and still nothing. Just a blank page.
Well, for now I just put a Y-splitter on the front cigar lighter so I can plug both things in. I'll tear into it later when we get back from the trip.
But thanks for the responses anyway I'll try the disk on my computer at work after vacation. It's newer, faster, and has more RAM. (I'm runnning 128meg of RAM on a 1Ghz processor at home, which I'd figure should be more than enough)

Rick,

I'm pretty sure your problem lies in Acrobat Reader 5.0. Try downgrading to 4.0 and I bet you'll be able to view that file. I noticed that when I upgraded to 5.0 I couldn't access several files on the 126 CDs and couldn't even get the 108 CD to load up.

I believe you will have to completely remove 5.0 prior to reloading 4.0.

Did all that, still no workee. Wierd!
But I found a way around it. I found which PDF file it is on the disk that I'm trying to open. Then I opened Acrobat reader. Then I just opened the PDF file directly from there, instead of using the main HTM index. Worked great!
