Jay, the shop is located at Stamford CT with branch at Yonkers NY.... (203) 975-0441. Owners name is Chuck. He's got more than 20 yrs experience working with MBs, and claims to have done more standard shift conversions than anybody on the East Coast. Tell him John Baldwin sent you.

footnote: Grimgaunt.... MB owners in Colorado territory should be all over your conversion kit like bums on baloney sandwich. The w123 series is ripe for restoration right now, easily capable of another 20 yrs on the road as highly desireable, dailly driver and vintage classic.

Many thanks to you all for your input! I really appreciate the advice. Looks like I may be making a short drive to Stamford!! I'll let you know how it goes.
