How much does my 81 300d (manual) weigh, w/ fluids, empty? And where can I look to see the GVW? The German neighbor who sold me my this car says it's the 'country' version; bare bones accessories, (except manual a/c) mercedes fire extingusher, skid plate under the the front end, stiffer srings. It looks a tad higher than my 78 240d, I'm wondering if it can carry more, we'll need it with our 4 person + bernese mountain dog family.

Look on the drivers door jamb. There should be a tag there with this information.
